Well they have moved from their prior location to the136th St spot and they have a wonderful dining environment with food to match. TJ, Faturdad, and I all dined in together, Danell made a trip, and I did a take out too. We had a great sampling of the dishes on this menu and we’re about to bring the flavor to you, so…

Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
Have you ever had a Banh Mi? Ya know the delicious Vietnamese sandwich with crusty bread, savory protein, and fresh vegetables. If you haven’t you might want to get to the Banh Mi shop at 923 Galvin Rd in Bellevue. This episode though is not a food review, nope we have the person that brought the Banh Mi to Bellevue, owner Chole Tran. She is a UNO grad that saw an opportunity to be an entrepreneur and fill tummies with tasty sandwiches that were not widely available in our town. So..

Dirty Birds Revisit
Tuesday Oct 11, 2022
Tuesday Oct 11, 2022
Chicken rules everything around me at Dirty Birds. Our listeners have heard us allude to the genius that is the food within their walls. Their chambers are now located at 1722 St Mary’s Ave in the Flat Iron building, the place is all their own, and it was time for a visit. We talk Sweet Tea tenders, brie and berry pancakes with bone in perfectly cooked chicken and of course that ODB: old delicious brined sandwich. TJ, Danell, and I are about to speak on the ruler of tasty chicken. So...

Tuesday Oct 04, 2022
Brian O’Malley is Associate Dean of Culinary, Hospitality and Horticulture at Metropolitan Community College and that’s an important title, but what’s more important is Brian O’Malley’s heart and soul. You are in for a wonderful conversation that surrounds the program at MCC, but gets into what it means to really have a passion for food. See if you can figure out where I may have got something in my eye and also where I totally mess up the name of one of TJ’s favorite pancakes. Seriously though this is a great conversation, so…

Indalecio Penaloza of La Poblanita
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
We met Indalecio Penaloza of La Poblanita way back in March of 2021 when TJ and I were doing parking lot dining for all of our eats due to the pandemic. We ordered quite a bit from the sandal inspired huarache to the amazing deeply flavored chicken mole. Indy stopped out to talk to us about our meal (and maybe wondered a bit about these crazy guys tailgating in his lot). We talked food and that is what we are about to do on on this Food Recognize Food episode with Indalecio Penaloza so

The Sandwich Episode
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
This episode I went to Phyl’s, Danell went to the Pit Lounge, I went to WD Racletterie, Danell went to Greg’s Drive In….ok so what I’m trying to say is that this was Mission Sandwich! The plan was this, seek out amazing, epic, unique sandwiches around Omaha and our area. We ended up at some fun spots and there are many more epic sandwiches out there, time for a Dirty Birds revisit anyone?...but that’s for a later show. This was kinda my excuse to try a few sandwich spots that have been on my list for sometime.
