One meal led to another and the Faturday Omaha podcast, and now radio show on 91.5 FM in Omaha was born starting in 2018. On this episode we have a Faturday guest alum and Behind the Menu as well as Restaurant Tales host Brady Hess, but not just Brady Hess as he has taken on a new role as Chef Brady Hess at Site 1 Brewing! He is just filling his chef shoes and might tell you to call him meat dude instead of chef, but regardless Hess is at the helm creating BBQ and comfort food to please your palate. I stopped by a while back to taste the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and ribs that are smoked and then flash fried to get a gentle crisp. It was once loosely and comedically said that you can find the root of any word in Greek. Now I’m not sure about that, but you can certainly find delicious Greek food at Fetas! Sam and I have have been to Feta's numerous upon numerous times, but we have yet to do an episode until now. The quick note is that Feta's is always fresh and delicious. You can find their original fast casual spot at 114th and Miracle Hills or their dine in and drive thru equipped 2nd location on 40th and Dodge in Omaha.

Kevin Shinn owner of a now closed restaurant called Bread & Cup that was in Lincoln Nebraska and author of a book of the same name. Coming this spring Kevin will open up The Portico which is Chef Shinn’s “private one-table-per-night, as Kevin refers to it, “micro restaurant”. I am thankful for the knowledge and conversation that Kevin provided me. I think you will connect with Kevin quickly like I did. He also has a new book, listen for more!
